VeraCode Universal Capture Bead Sets

True flexibility in the development of multiplex SNP genotyping assays can be achieved with Illumina VeraCode Universal Capture Bead Sets. With highly stable bead sets that are pre-coupled with 23-mer capture oligonucleotides researchers can develop their own multiplex assays, from single- to 144-plex, using their preferred assay methodology.

Each Universal Capture Bead type employs a uniquely coded cylindrical glass VeraCode microbead. The code inscribed within each microbead is used downstream to designate and track the specific analyte or genotype of interest in the multiplex reaction.

Designing an assay with VeraCode Universal Capture Bead Sets is made easy with the VeraCode Assay Designer software. Every capture sequence is paired with a specific VeraCode bead type and has been pre-screened to limit cross reactivity with the human genome.

 Assays developed with VeraCode Universal Capture Beads benefit from solution phase kinetics and the ability to perform wash steps within the same plate, reducing hands-on time and ancillary consumables. Analytes can be labeled with standard fluorescent reporters such as Cy3, Cy5, or AlexaFluor dyes.
